Red Rock Sound HLF-3C completes the Passive EQ Collection. This plug-in has 12 dB per octave low and high cut filters, providing broad retro-tonal sculpting or bygone-era special effects, without the inconvenience of insertion loss found with the unamplified passive hardware.

You can easily subtract the unnecessary frequencies in any instrument and sub-group so they stay wonderfully musical in the mix.

The original HLF-3C hardware unit is a true passive design; there are no input/output amplifiers and it does not require any external power. As a result, there is an inherent loss of signal level when using the HLF-3C hardware. The RRS HLF-3C plug-in compensates for this inherent signal loss for simplified use in the modern era; it has unity gain upon insertion (there is no insertion loss until one or both of the cut filters is engaged).

Extract distortion curves from real gear. Black Diamond Probe pairs with Black Diamond Distortion. While Black Diamond Distortion lets you build and edit transfer curves—Probe extracts those curves from real hardware or plugins.

Run audio through any nonlinear device—a tube preamp, tape machine, or overdrive pedal—and Probe will extract the transfer function that defines its distortion character. Export the curve as a ‘.tfunc’ file, then load it into Black Diamond Distortion to reuse it, refine it, or push it further.

By measuring the input and output at the same time, Probe reconstructs the transfer curve that defines your device’s nonlinear behavior.
Use Cases
– Learn what your gear is actually doing: See exactly how different tubes, transistors, or op-amps color your signal. The principle is the same whether you are probing real hardware or software models.
– Build a personal curve library: Export .tfunc captures from your favorite gain stages, then load them into Black Diamond Distortion to reuse, tweak, and push further.

For accurate captures, the device under test should be memoryless—meaning its output depends only on the current input, not on past inputs. Most distortion, saturation, and waveshaping effects fit this criterion. But sometimes they are packaged with DC blocking filters, Equalizers, or some other tone-shaping modules that rotate the phase.

Devices with memory (time-dependent behavior) can still be fun to visualize in Probe, but they can’t be captured as a single stable transfer function. Examples include compressors, pre-amps with EQ/filters enabled, and systems with hysteresis (like most tape saturation). In these cases, the plot may form loops or shift over time, and any exported curve should be treated as an approximation.

The exported ‘.tfunc’ files are compatible with Black Diamond Distortion (And future Black Diamond products) and can be loaded directly into its preset browser.

Sinensis is 6 bandpass filters.
You interact with the relation between their gains and frequency. You can input MIDI to play the bands with notes. To route MIDI to Sinensis, you can find info on this website

tl;dr : Set the output of a MIDI track to the track where the plug-in lives.

Sinensis is a bunch of bandpass filters. Inspired by modular such as Tides and Just Friends, you modulate their relation instead of their absolute frequencies.
You set the root frequency (either by hand with a tune widget, or with the MIDI input).
You then set the ratio between each band frequence and the gain of each band following simple functions. I contrained myself to avoid knob, sliders, drop-down menus and numeric values. Using colors and their evolution to inform the user. The goal being to show the state of the system, not to visualize each of its parameters.
In contrast with this unusual method, I chose to make a very clear and structured UI, big fonctionality blocks. I haven’t had much feedback on this plug but I’d be curious to have some people to test it whitout explanation to inform my future conception of UI.

This simple and straightforward tone shaping tool is modeled after the style of a classic shelving Baxandall Equalizer, renowned for its slick slope and natural-sounding filter. The EQ560 Free based on Classic American EQ from the late ’60s, the 10-Band graphic
equalizer features precision filtering and high headroom, ideal for signal enhancement.

The curve shaping potential is unmatched, while unique Proportional Q design intuitively
widens the filter bandwidth at lower boost/cut levels and narrows it at higher settings.

The EQ560 Free is handy when you need to make EQ adjustments on larger parts of the
spectrum instead of a restricted area. Boosting or cutting several bands at once will radically
alter the sound of a track, be it a thin, weak snare that needs low end or a dull vocal that
needs to be opened up.

Gain Sliders
Each of the 10 sliders controls the gain for one frequency band. Each band can be adjusted
to boost or cut the frequency by up to ±12 dB. The available band frequencies are listed
below.

YS – Filters Easy_ Audio filtering plugin. The plugin has simple functions and is easy to configure. Four types of filter Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass, Band Reject to choose from.

The resonance regulator can be selected step-by-step 4 fixed settings or smooth. The effect can also be used in parallel mixing with the source. “Flux” adds movement to the sound by slightly shifting the channel frequencies relative to each other. At the output, a peak limiter is triggered if the threshold is exceeded.

(Three folders knob-31-51-101 with pictures of different storyboards in case the user does not have enough video card resources, the fader and large knob may not be displayed. Replace the pictures with a smaller storyboard. By default, 101 for greater smoothness and accuracy of adjustment).

Mixbus Tone Control – closest to analog

FlavourMTC follows classic “passive” equalizer designs where the EQ circuits itself are not able to amplify signals but a dedicated amplifier stage takes care of it. Those EQ designs are well known for allowing very transparent frequency changes while their amplifier designs do add some icing on the cake quite often.

FlavourMTC implements this by utilizing 1st order shelving filter designs avoiding unwanted resonances and takes advantage of “zero delay” implementations for most accurate higher order filtering and w/o introducing curve warping near Nyquist frequency.

The output amplifier stage of the plugin can be calibrated according specific mixing levels, provides a distinct “box tone” and glues everything together. Parts of the plugin are oversampled internally for maximum transparency and sound quality.
