Subhoofer is a bass enhancement saturation plugin, along with a subharmonic generator.
Subhoofer is aimed at being a replacement for other subharmonic generation plugins. Use it to make your bass audible on small speakers or extend the sub range in bass signals! You can also beef up guitars, add bass to other instruments, presence to vocals etc. Experiment with extreme values at your own risk.

Subhoofer can generate bass harmonics as well as a subharmonic in addition to a few saturations aiding it

The default settings are already configured to mimic a bass plugin of renaissance 🙂 However feel free to tweak further!

Parameters:
● In Gain – Gain before any processing happens

● Out Gain – Gain after all processing happens

● Wet – How much processed sound is there instead of dry/unprocessed sound

● Hardness – Tone control for harmonics – modified Chebyshev algorithm

● Harmonics – Generated harmonics added to the signal

● Harmonic Algorithm – The methods used to generate harmonics:

● A Bass 3: Ardura’s algorithm remade generating harmonics differently

● A Bass 2: Ardura’s algorithm updated in 2024 for bass enhancement

● 8 Harmonic Stack: An 8 harmonic stack with a different low-focus than Algorithm 1

● Duro Console: A Modified 7 harmonic stack from Duro Console that favors non octave harmonics

● TanH Transfer: Harmonics added in from a tanh transfer function pretending to be tape

● Custom: Custom Harmonic Sliders for user to create their own tones
● Sub Gain – Gain for the subharmonic generator

● Sub Drive – Send the subharmonic signal to TanH Transfer for subtle Sub harmonics added in

Installation
Drag the vst3 file into your “C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3” directory or wherever your vst3 are stored. Done!

RandRobin is a round robin effect emulation that emulates humanization for drum elements such as snares, cymbles, hi-hats and perccution.

It’s based on a randomization of pitch values over the full frecuency spectrum of the signal. The plugin cuts the signal into 3 frequency bands (low, middle, high) and applies random pitch changes to each band separately. The frequency band knobs determaine how far the difference between the original pitch and the manipulated pitch can go (pitchbending).

The “pitchbending method” menu determines the type of the pitchbending jumps.”only up” means the pitch jumpes will always be higher than the original. “only down” means the pitch jumpes will always be lower than the original. “up & down” means the pitch jumpes will be both higher and lower.

The “dry – wet ratio” is kind of mixture between the original
signal occuration and the manipulated signal occuration. when the value of this knob is low, the chances of the original signal occuration are higher. The higher it goes,
the chances of the manipulated signal occuration increases.

HISSTools Freeze is a lightweight plugin for spectral freezing and morphing based on DSP built in FrameLib.
HISSTools Freeze was originally built for teaching purposes at the University of Huddersfield.
It supports several different freezing/morphing modes that allow control over the evolution of the output sound.
A randomisable multi-band filter allows the user to add movement to the sound.

Formats / OS:
HISSTools Freeze is curently provided as AUv2 (mac only) and VST2 / VST3 (mac / windows).
Other formats are support by iPlug 2 but not yet configured to build correctly.

Substrate is a bass enhancer.

This effect device to give your bass sounds the right “boost”. It will generate additional harmonics to the sound in the low end frequency range (sub-harmonics) based on a pre-set fundamental frequency from which it will generate the harmonics. These harmonics can be added and amplified by a “boost level” which results in a bass sound with more power in the low end range.

The second advantage is, if the frequency is set exactly to the fundamental frequency of a sound, the generated harmonics will produce a “psycho-acoustic effect” that gives your brain the feelings to perceive the sub frequency range of a bass sound on weak systems that can’t reproduce such low frequencies (like weak laptop speakers or mobile devices), even if these low frequencies are not really audible.

• Frequency control to set the fundamental frequency in Hz from which the harmonics will be generated. This is a special designed filter to only leave the set fundamental frequency of the processed sound. All other frequencies above and below the set frequency will be cut out.
• Boost control to generate addidional harmonics based on the set fundamental frequency. The higher the amount of this control, the more harmonics will be generated and amplified.
• Invert Phase control. In some cases the processed signal can cause phasing issues or phase cancellations when it will be mixed back to the original signal. Inverting the phase of the processed signal can prevent such phasing issues. And in some other cases inverting the phase also can result in an even fatter low end.
• Boost Mix control to set the level of the processed signal to mix it to the unprocessed dry signal.
• Dry Mix control to set the level of the unprocessed dry signal.
• Mute Boost control to mute the processed signal.
• Mute Dry control to mute the dry signal.
• Main Volume control for setting the main output volume level.

Make any sound wide without phase issues. Similar to haas effect but instead of delaying one of the channels, both are delayed and one is flipped.

When summed to mono, the effect is canceled out.

DVS Airwaves is an aural exciter.

The air in a large club or outdoor venue is usualy moving around and shifting the sound small amounts in time, this plugin re-creates the effect giving the music a more natural feel.

Dyno Mod is a harmonic enhancer.

It was a famous hardware add-on for the Electric Pianos in the early ’70s. The effect was developed to enhance high and low harmonics and to give a wider feel to electric pianos.
