Vocal compressor. APD Compressor was designed and developed as a vocal compressor. It reacts to the incoming program material. Threshold, Attack, and Release do not behave as isolated controls: as the amount of compression changes, the envelope behavior changes as well.

OFF / 1-100%
At OFF, the Texture stage is completely bypassed. From 1% upward, Texture engages a pre-compression, level-dependent harmonic saturation stage with 4x oversampling. It mainly adds 2nd, 3rd, and 4th harmonic content, while keeping higher-order harmonics restrained.

0-100%
Approx. 0 dB / -40 dB.

Attack
1-100%
Approx. 0.1 / 100 ms, with signal-adaptive response.

Release
1-100%
Approx. 10 / 2000 ms, with program-dependent release behavior.
