Surge XT is a subtractive hybrid synthesizer.

Each patch contain 2 scenes which are separate instances of the entire synthesis engine (except effects) that can be used to create layered or split patches. Quick category-based patch browser with textual search and favorites. 2779 patches, 614 wavetables.

Oscillators:

• 3 oscillators per scene, with 12 versatile oscillator algorithms: Classic, Modern, Wavetable, Window, Sine, FM2, FM3, String, Twist, Alias, S&H Noise and Audio Input.
• Classic oscillator is a morphable pulse/saw/dual saw oscillator with a sub-oscillator and hard sync.
• Modern oscillator is a mixable saw/pulse/triangle oscillator with an optional sub-oscillator mode for triangle (which can also change to sine or square) and hard sync.
• FM2/FM3 oscillators consist of a carrier and 2 or 3 modulators and various options.
• String oscillator uses two filtered waveguides to emulate plucked or bowed string sounds.
• Twist oscillator is based on a very famous Eurorack macro oscillator, and it offers a myriad of synthesis options in a very simple and quick way.
• Most algorithms (except FM2, FM3, Twist and Audio Input) offer up to 16-voice unison at the oscillator level.

• LFO shapes consist of 7 deformable LFO waveforms, step sequencer, a fully-fledged multi-segment envelope generator (MSEG) with various curves and up to 128 nodes, and last but not the least – a formula modulator which utilizes Lua scripting language to provide completely custom modulator output.
• Voice LFOs allow envelope retriggering in step sequencer mode.
• Extremely fast and flexible modulation routing. Almost every continuous parameter can be modulated.

Sawrizor Lite is an all-round wavetable / saw synthesizer that combines 2 high quality saw oscillators.

By mixing different generators for each oscillator, resulting in a matrix of recorded and hand made audio material of the last decades and unique new saw combinations.

Both units have voice unison features with detune, mix and other sound fattening abilities. The sub oscillator adds punch and more character to the sound. Chorus, delay and reverb effects enrich the sound with depth.

Vectomorph allows the exploration of synthesis using vector oscillators.

This oscillator waveform is made up from 4 lines where each line is described by a level (affecting rate of change) and a point in time for the line to end. The start and end point of each cycle is zero so this needs 4 levels but only 3 time-points, since the end time of the cycle is the same as the start of the next cycle.

The fiendishly clever Martin Vicanek designed the oscillator which uses parabola oscillators and varies the amplitude and phase of each to produce linear sections. This method allows for further variations of the curviness of the lines by controlling the relative amplitudes of the parabola waves. The curviness subtly affects the higher harmonic content. The oscillators produce a clean sound due to employing anti-aliasing techniques.

In addition, a sawtooth wave can be added to increase the amplitude of higher harmonics. A noise source is provided (3 types) and a state variable filter.
The parameters that control the wave shape, noise level and filter settings can be modulated in real-time, and in the Vectomorph this is realised by shifting between 2 sets of controls. The shifting produces true morphing of the wave shape between the controls’ settings and can be achieved manually, with an LFO, or a multi-stage envelope generator, or any combination of these 3 sources.

There are 2 identical generators provided and each can be tuned individually to further increase the range of possibilities.
