The change comes from measured recordings of the same basses played both ways, plus a matching transient stage, so it reads as a playing style, not an EQ preset. Dial the bite, tilt the tone, done.

Picking Fingers is a zero-latency bass processing plugin designed to transform the playing character of a recorded bass between fingerstyle and pick. Built from matched recordings of real bass performances, it uses precision voicing filters to change the tone and attack while preserving the weight of the low end.

Choose your preferred playing character with the Voice control, shape the measured per-note response with Attack, and use Bite to add gritty definition to the front of each note without affecting sustained tones. A ±6 dB Tone control provides additional tonal shaping, while input and output trims make level matching easy. With zero-latency processing and mono or stereo operation, Picking Fingers can be used while tracking or during mixing.
