My Crush: Premium Bitcrusher Plugin – Now Free
I just found out about this sick bitcrusher plugin called My Crush that’s totally free right now. It’s built on this thing called the Bite Harder engine, which is apparently pretty popular already, but now you can get all these professional sound destruction features without paying anything.
The cool thing about My Crush is that it gives you really precise control over how you mess up your sound. You get separate knobs for reducing bits and changing the re-sampling rates, plus there are six different graph curves you can use to instantly change the texture of whatever you’re working on. they built-with high-pass and low-pass filters too, so you can shape your sound before or after you process it. Oh, and there’s this sweet beat-synced stutter slider that lets you create all these rhythmic glitches and textures.
The interface is super easy to use with all the important controls right where you need them. There’s a mix control to blend between your dry and processed signals, a split function that converts mono to stereo, and dedicated sliders for controlling your input and output levels so nothing clips.
This plugin is perfect for adding character to your tracks -also you can go for subtle lo-fi warmth or just completely destroy your audio digitally. I’m thinking it would be awesome for adding texture to drums, creating weird vocal effects, or transforming synth sounds.
It works on:
Windows 10 or newer (64-bit)
macOS 10.11 or newer (64-bit), including native support for Apple Silicon.
Plugin Formats: VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats (64-bit only).
You need to make a free account on the developer’s website to register it, but that’s it.
